The origin of FG is in Berlin, where the company has been established in 1918.

The former name was Fritz Gross Elektromotorenwerk , construction of electric motors . After changing seat, nationalisation and restitution to its former owners the name is since 1996 FG Maschinenbau GmbH.

Since 1950 FG produces parquet sanders of high quality.
